According to statistics released by the China Construction Machinery Industry Association (CCMIA) covering major excavator and wheel loader manufacturers, the sales performance of key construction machinery products showed mixed trends in February 2026, with exports maintaining strong growth.
Excavators
In February 2026, a total of 17,226 excavators were sold, representing a year-on-year decrease of 10.6%.

Domestic sales: 6,755 units (including 19 electric excavators), down 42% year-on-year

Exports: 10,471 units (including 16 electric excavators), up 37.2% year-on-year
From January to February 2026, total excavator sales reached 35,934 units, marking a 13.1% year-on-year increase.

Domestic sales: 15,478 units (including 43 electric excavators), down 9.19% year-on-year

Exports: 20,456 units (including 27 electric excavators), up 38.8% year-on-year
Wheel Loaders
In February 2026, sales of all types of wheel loaders totaled 9,540 units, representing a 9.28% year-on-year increase.

Domestic sales: 3,863 units (including 2,016 electric wheel loaders), down 14.3% year-on-year

From January to February 2026, total wheel loader sales reached 21,299 units, showing a 27.9% year-on-year increase.
